The next step in our lives

A week ago I was travelling from the District Youth Synod at Itsoseng near Lichtenburg, I saw the small river with slow running water, and I wondered whether in our Christian life the water is still running or not.

We are called to be like the life giving waters of the river. Still waters if stagnant can retain germs and bacteria, however the running water is important. In ancient times God continually instructed the priests to use the running water. Water was a picture of washing away their sins into the waters of Jordan The Church of Christ came into the knowledge of running water through the streams of Holy Spirit.

My question is, when was the last time He moved you? When was the last time you flowed with Him? Jeremiah 2:13 “my people have done two evils. They have turned away from me, the spring of living water. And they have dug their own wells, which are broken wells that cannot hold water.”

Is there any flow in you? A flow of life A flow of communication with God A flow of prayer I want to assure you that regardless of your circumstances, there is a river within you, you don’t have to wait for someone else to come and stir you. You have the Holy Spirit and it lives in you.

JESUS promised in John 7:38 ” rivers of living water will flow out from within”.

And that is our call today.

Be a flowing and running water of Jesus Christ.

Shalom
