Hi All
The heading of this week’s Roman’s reading from the lectionary, taken from the NIRV, is LOVE IN ACTION. Love is a word that is used so much in our world today that we have lost the depth and true meaning of the word and the action that comes with it. I like to highlight some passages from the lectionary reading in Romans 12:
– Love must be sincere
– Be devoted to each other in love
– Keep your spiritual fire
– Be joyful in hope
– Be patient in affliction
– Be faithful in prayer
– Practice hospitality
– Live in peace with everyone
These are just some of the requirements, so please read the remainder of Chapter 12, that are required to live a life of love in action. Last week we looked at being effective as individuals and as the Body of Christ. Living these love in action actions is what we are called to do in our personal lives as well as in the life of this church. As you sit in the sanctuary today before the service starts, reflect on the areas that required change and ask God to reveal His plan for your life and the life or our church community.
Have a blessed week
Shalom
Gill
