I Am the Potter’s Clay

Dear Congregants

Today I will be contemplating on the book of Jeremiah 18, a passage that reminds us of our position with our Creator, God Almighty.

Marla Deaton, in her poem titled “I Am the Potter’s Clay”, a poem that touched many people around the world says;

The clay just sits there, It waits. It can dream and scheme, And want to be great, But is not the master, Of it’s own fate. It does well To just sit and wait, I should take a lesson From the clay. And let the Potter Have His own Way, Because I am the Potter’s clay.

I invite you therefore, to remember that we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do the good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life (Eph 2:10).
