Mother’s Day is traditionally the day when people give
something back to their mothers.
It’s a day of celebration and appreciation for making their
children finish something they said they could not. Mothers
are developers of personalities, molders of vocabularies and
shapers of attitudes.
One of the faithful mothers in the bible, gave her son to God.
Mother Hannah – 1 Sam 1:26-28 “For this boy I prayed and
the Lord has given me my petition which I asked of Him. So I
have also dedicated him to the Lord.
John Stiler confesses “I have worshipped in churches and
chapels. I have prayed in busy streets. I have sought my God
and have found Him in the waves of His ocean beat, I have
knelt in silent in the forest, in the shade of some ancient
tree, but the dearest of all altars was at my mother’s knee”.
A Model of a faithful mother:
- – A faithful mother express vibrant prayers.
- – A faithful mother experiences God’s provision.
- – A faithful mother keeps her promises.
We therefore celebrate with all mothers of faith, who are
known for giving so much for their families. They sacrifice
enormous amounts of time and energy to make sure that all
is well. Above all they lead others to see the grace of God.
Happy Mother’s Day!!
